Renewed Youth   Leave a comment

God is the only specialist who can renew youthful health, and youthful strength, that is made to function by a perfect healing method, in the entire human body, mind and soul in the form of recreation.
“Who satisfies thy mouth with good things, so that thy youth is renewed as the eagle.” (Psalm 103: 5)
This healing method to recreate youth, to function in every part of the human body, can never exist in the form of knowledge. If this was so, no one would ever grow old. And think of how such a product made for purchasing, would cause an increase in crime because of greed and selfishness.

Face the Challenges and Maintain Good Health Habits during the Holidays   Leave a comment

Face the Challenges and Maintain Good Health Habits during the Holidays

The challenges we face to maintain good health habits become more aggressive during the holidays.

More time is spent eating and entertaining ourselves with family and friends, and less time is geared toward continuing the routine exercises and paying close attention to eating lesser calories and our salt intake as well as, eating smaller portions of food, during the holidays.

Eating unhealthy snacks between meals, and replacing water with pop and other beverages that are high in calories, can become a challenge to resist, while vacationing during the holidays. Cooking during the holidays can create a challenge. Over-sampling the food while preparing holiday meals is a weakness. The challenge to resist the temptation to eat a meal rather than a sample is aggressive.

To maintain good health habits during the holidays, we have to face each of our weaknesses and learn how to control our eating habits.

  1.  Continue to do as many exercise routines as possible
  2.   Eat smaller portions of food
  3.   Drink more water
  4.   Avoid salty foods
  5.   Monitor the calorie counts
  6.   Include fruits and vegetables in the holiday meals

Salty foods along with other seasoning used in foods, are tasty and enjoyable to the taste buds; making it easy to become addicted to them, while they present a challenge to our health. To deal with these challenges we have to face them and find the strength within ourselves to resist the temptation to yield to them, and maintain good health habits.

I grew up on a farm of large fields of vegetables, and orchards with their beautiful trees bearing fruits and nuts. My parents also, raised animals; chickens, cows, pigs, horses and a dog. There were places to fish and hunt. The farm gave us back more than my parents put into it. We received good health and happiness.

Vegetables, fruits and nuts are much needed in our diets. It is difficult to get many of our young people and older ones as well, to eat green leafy vegetables. Exercise, without eating the proper foods will not produce a healthy and fit body. I have listed food products, and their nutritional values, sources of nutrients, vitamins, minerals, and their functions in the body.
