Our creator, holds the blueprint for our body design, and has the wisdom to renew our youth as promised. We also, have the responsibility to be observant of the benefits he has provided for us, to place ourselves in a position to receive them. We also, must take care of our body and not abuse it; That requires eating healthy food, and exercising on a daily basic. And preventing negative thoughts to enter into our minds by focusing on things that are irrational ideas from the mouths of others. Mental strength comes from communicating with God through prayer, and giving thanks to him for the things he has allowed you to accomplish.

Face the Challenges and Maintain Good Health Habits during the Holidays

 

The challenges we face to maintain good health habits become more aggressive during the holidays.

More time is spent eating and entertaining ourselves with family and friends, and less time is geared toward continuing the routine exercises and paying close attention to eating lesser calories and our salt intake as well as, eating smaller portions of food, during the holidays.

Eating unhealthy snacks between meals, and replacing water with pop and other beverages that are high in calories, can become a challenge to resist, while vacationing during the holidays. Cooking during the holidays can create a challenge. Over-sampling the food while preparing holiday meals is a weakness. The challenge to resist the temptation to eat a meal rather than a sample is aggressive.

 

 

 

To maintain good health habits during the holidays, we have to face each of our weaknesses and learn how to control our eating habits.

  1.  Continue to do as many exercise routines as possible
  2.   Eat smaller portions of food
  3.   Drink more water
  4.   Avoid salty foods
  5.   Monitor the calorie counts
  6.   Include fruits and vegetables in the holiday meals

Salty foods along with other seasoning used in foods, are tasty and enjoyable to the taste buds; making it easy to become addicted to them, while they present a challenge to our health. To deal with these challenges we have to face them and find the strength within ourselves to resist the temptation to yield to them, and maintain good health habits.
